Did you know that in 1971, the city of Salem, Massachusetts created something called “Hello Day”?
The entire community was encouraged to step outside, say hello to one another, and remember the simple but powerful importance of human connection. This year, Salem revived the tradition with a focus on kindness, mental health, and community belonging - because sometimes the smallest gesture can make the biggest difference.
That spirit inspired the Wild Rose Cloggers to create our own little connection project - handmade “Hello” bracelets!
As we perform and connect with our community, we’ll be sharing these bracelets as a reminder that you are seen, you matter, you belong, and our community is stronger when we care for one another.
Clogging has always been about rhythm, joy, storytelling, and connection and we hope these bracelets help spread a little extra kindness wherever they go.
So if you see us out and about, come say hello. We’d love to meet you.
